We are proud to offer wraparound care to our families during term-time.

Our Breakfast and After School Clubs provide a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children before and after the school day. Designed to support busy families, the clubs offer flexible childcare options that help parents balance work and family commitments with peace of mind.

Children enjoy a nutritious breakfast to start the day positively and calmly, as well as a range of fun, supervised activities after school, including games, creative projects, and social opportunities. These sessions help children develop confidence, independence and friendships, while promoting healthy routines and a sense of belonging within the school community. By providing high-quality care in a familiar setting, our clubs ensure that every child is happy, supported and ready to learn.

We are delighted to be offering a free 30-minute breakfast club for all primary-aged pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 from September, in addition to our original breakfast club. The Sunshine Cafe is part-funded by the government and aims to promote improved attendance and a calmer start to the day. We are currently the only infant school in Stevenage, alongside two primary schools, to be offering this provision.

The school uses the Arbor Parental Portal for bookings of clubs. Please see the documents below on how to download and use the Arbor Parent Portal App.

Breakfast Clubs

Option 1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) – Early Birds: Open from 7.30-8.15am. Cost of £3.00 per child, per day. Numbers remain capped at 34 per session. If you book your child a space at Early Birds, they will automatically receive a space at the Sunrise Café.

Option 2 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) – The Sunrise Café: Open from 8.15-8.45am. Funded for pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

After School Club

Session A: 3.15pm - 4.45pm (£6.00 a session) Session B: 3.15pm - 6.00pm (£10.00 a session) When making a booking, please indicate if you would like your child to receive a meal.

 

Nursery pupils: Wrap-around care may be available at Early Birds / The Sunshine Café, but places are not guaranteed for Nursery children and must be approved by the Headteacher before a place can be allocated. In our experience, some children find spending extended periods of time in school-based provision challenging. As such, all decisions regarding access to these clubs are made on an individual basis, with the child’s best interests, wellbeing and ability to thrive in the provision as the overriding consideration.

Booking and Payment

The Arbor Parent Portal App will allow you to make and view bookings. Bookings need to be made at least three days in advance. If a date isn't showing, this usually means that the date is full. Please telephone the school office to check availability.  If you wish to make a cancellation, please contact the school office, giving at least four days notice.

For parents/carers who pay with childcare vouchers, Arbor allows you to make these bookings yourself.  Once your childcare voucher payment has reached the school bank account, we will credit your Arbor account.  Please let the school office know if you would like to pay via vouchers so we can ensure your account is set up correctly.
