Hertfordshire Annual Reviews
Every year we are reviewed by our Hertfordshire School Improvement Partner. Our last review took place in April 2022 and we were delighted for the eighth year running to be judged ‘Outstanding’:
“Across the early years setting, children are able to access a range of high-quality resources which enable them to explore and take risks. Children practise and consolidate taught skills and demonstrate deep levels of involvement for sustained periods. Practitioners provide timely challenge but allow children to develop their own ideas and to develop strategies for doing things. Planned activities entice children to take part and immerse them in a place of discovery. All adults have consistently high expectations which are conveyed through warm, positive interactions." Other Hertfordshire reviews
At our recently commissioned Safeguarding Check which was carried out by our Hertfordshire School Improvement Partner, the review judged our school to be effective in all areas. This check reviews the school’s culture, systems and processes for keeping children safe.
During our most recent finance audit, Hertfordshire County Council’s audit team reviewed the school’s effectiveness of financial control, risk management and governance arrangements by assessing its effectiveness of controls in the assurance areas of the Governing Body and school staff, setting the budget, value for money and protecting public money. Based on the audit work performed, the team were able to provide overall substantial assurance that the school had effective processes in place to mitigate risks in the assurance areas covered by the audit.
During our most recent Health and Safety audit, Hertfordshire County Council’s Health and Safety Officer conducted a Health and Safety Management systems, policy and procedures review. The school’s final rating was ‘Outstanding’ and noted as being higher than the average compliance rating across Hertfordshire schools.
